He turned 6 weeks on Monday...

First bath in the bathtub.

Loves to sleep with his arm over his head or eyes.

Our special little Matthew is now 6 weeks old. It is crazy how time flies on by. Here are some things that Matthew is starting to do and loves to do now. And here are some things we love and enjoy about our little guy.

• Smiles really big with his mouth opened wide (it is the sweetest and cutest thing)
• Always kicking his legs back & forth along with his arms just waving
  
• He loves to bounce off of his Daddy's tummy with his legs just a kicking (we got this one on video; it is hilarious to watch)
  
• He coos a lot and is really loud when he does it
• Great at imitating sounds
• Can hold a toy ring with his hand; he swings it around with it almost hitting his eyes
• He is starting to put his fingers in his mouth and suck on them
• Loves to eat and eats a lot
  
• Starting to get chunky rolls on his legs around his diaper
  
• His belly is getting more chubby
  
• He only cries for food, diaper to be change, and when passing gas
• Now in the night time he is starting to eat every 4-6 hrs. (this is wonderful)
• He loves when others will play with him and talk to him
• During bath time his eyes get really big when the warm water is put on his tummy and legs
  
• When you shake a rattle above his head he moves it really fast to follow it back & forth; this is funny to watch
• Sometimes we think he is going to get whiplash because he moves his head so fast when it is time to eat. He loves his food.
• He recognizes mommy and daddy's voices really well. When we are talking to him he will turn his head in the direction where we are at.
  
• He loves when we read books to him. His eyes get really big and he will just watch you the whole time you are reading the story to him.
• He takes at least 2-3 naps during the day and 1 at night and then only wakes up normally twice through out the night if he is feeling okay. Sometimes for his naps he will sleep at least 2 hours. I love taking naps with him. He will sleep next to me and hold my hand as he falls to sleep. Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of our nap and he is still holding my hand. It is very sweet.
• He is very alert and hears very well. Very jumpy at times with noises. His arms will go flying in the air along with his legs at times. It is a cute sight to witness. You feel bad though that the noise scared him.
• He falls asleep to his music at night and the night light being on in his crib.
• During tummy time now he is starting to lift his head up and move it from side to side. He is very strong.
• He loves to sleep on his Daddy's tummy. He sleeps really good there and cuddles right up to Mike. It is a sweet sight to see.
  

As you can see we love him so very much. He means everything to us. We are so very blessed to have him in our lives. What a sweetie!

I love seeing Mike come home so very excited to see us both but especially to play with his little boy. He talks with him and sings songs to him. Matthew loves to play with his Daddy. He so very helpful and loves being a Dad to his son.

Here are some random pictures that I have been meaning to post for awhile now. Luckily today is a good day where he is just talking and kicking those legs while I am typing away. He is a really good baby. Enjoy! The one of him smiling really big makes my day and any time I need a good laugh I am going to look at it. I actually put it as our background picture on one of our laptops.
