A day with my brother Travis and his Family...

So Matthew and I took a visit to see my brother Travis today. I wanted to see him and his family while the kids and his wife were out of school for the holidays. We arrived at 3:00 and stayed until 6:30. What a wonderful time spent together. Matthew wasn't sure when we arrived about their dog Josie that is a Yorkie. Josie would come up to Matthew and he would get ready to pet her and then he would start crying but he would still reach out his hand to pet her on her face or head. He just wasn't sure with whether he liked her or not. It had been awhile since he had last seen her. Last time he saw her he would sit on their couch while Josie would walk all around the living room floor. He was so fascinated with her. His eyes would go where she would go. It was so fun to watch. This time though we had to let him gradually ease into her again since at beginning she scared him. After awhile they decided to just put her in her cage so he wouldn't be worried about her. He knew where her cage was in the house so every time he would walk by the cage he would stay as far away as he could and he would watch her with his eyes the whole time passing by.

Travis was so kind and showed Matthew their horse, Boots. She is so sweet and will actually give you a hug if you wrap your arms around her neck. I have never seen a horse do this so it was amazing to watch. Matthew was completely fascinated the whole time by her and was wide eyed by the experience. After meeting his horse he then took us and his family for a nice ride in his enclosed side by side. Which they call the Beast. I love the name. It describes it very well and is definitely that. It has so much power and is way comfortable inside. Matthew loved the ride and even was able to drive it a little while sitting on Travis's lap. He loved looking all around. We were able to see about 7 deer and 1 buck on the trail he took us on up by his house. It was a really neat and a fun ride. I love going for rides in nature. Travis is also going to take me for a horse ride come Spring. I am really excited for that. It will be fun spending some time with my brother. He is a great older brother to look up to. I am so blessed and happy to have a brother like him. He has such a kind and loving heart. He is always giving of his time to others; including his family.



Matthew was able to play with his cousins Ty, Nic, and Britney. He had fun playing with them. Britney played blocks with him. While Nic and Ty spoiled him with his favorite thing a car to play in. It was one of the big size car's to play outside with that has the horn to honk and you have to use your feet to move in it. He loved it and was ever so content with being in it. He would get in and out repeatedly. Now we know what to get him for summer time.
